Twinkle Toes!

...Ella was getting ready for school about a month ago and informed me she didn't want to wear her crocs...she wanted to go to the store and buy some "skechers" - as you can imagine, I actually laughed out loud...and said, excuse me. She said, yeah, i want some "twinkle toes" like Maya. Okay, whatever. Goes to school with her Target tennis shoes on after some negotiating and we are good to go. Fast forward about 2 weeks when we are at Academy....mommy, look at the Skechers. Dang! Sure enough were they Skechers...but then she picked out the box labeled "Twinkle Toes" and said, I want these. After scooping my jaw OFF the ground ... I realized that not ONLY did she know "about" Skechers...but she also was very clear what "style" she wanted. Wow. I told her we would check another store. Hello, $42?
So, as luck would have it....we found a good sale this weekend and wouldn't you know she spotted them from across the store and asked again if she could have them - this was definitely a "moment" -- and seriously, how could I say no? As you can see from the pictures, she carried them around the store herself. When she woke up this morning, the first thing she asked is if she could wear her new "skechers" to school today. She's not even 4. (oh, and the blurry picture is of her jumping up and down making them light up!)
